This is a change of genre for me but a book I have longed to write. This is magical realism rather than a psychological thriller although it does have twists and turns of course. If you've read The Midnight Library by Matt Haig or The Island of Forgotten Trees by Elif Shafak or The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, you'll love this.

The book took many forms before it reached 'Where no shadows fall.' The title came from a gravestone in a Worcestershire church yard which read 'Resting where no shadows fall.' And that set my creative juices flowing. I started to think about Dante's Divine Comedy and Carl Jung's theory that we all have a shadow side. You can tell I've been an academic! Seriously though I wanted to explore how we allow experiences from our past govern how we see ourselves and how we have interpreted experiences. That can be so different to the reality and that's what this is book is about. Esther Morgan has to go back to move forwards. I hope you enjoy this book. I would love to hear your comments so contact me or please leave a review on Goodreads and Amazon. Follow me on Facebook and Instagram and of course please sign up to my website Happy reading from 9th March.
