So lucky to have been invited to join my family for a break on the Balearic island of Mallorca where I managed to plan and begin to write my new novel 'The Village of Whispers.' Such a wonderful relaxing place .......

The impression of Mallorca is Magaluf where drunken youth lie in the gutters. Was I ever one of them? I'll leave you to decide! But there are parts of the island that are quiet and unspoilt where you get the sense of real Spain in the small villages just a couple of miles away from the coast. Rubbing shoulders with the locals as you enjoy freshly main tapas together with beautifully fish and shellfish. The clear blue skies are the perfect backdrop for the pine woods that cloth the slopes of the surrounding hills. Citrus fruits overflow from rock strewn orchards where you can pluck a lemon for your Sangria. What an idyllic life - will I ever come home.
